More Than You Need To Know About UFO's/Conspiracies

In july of (1952) a major ufo "flap" occurred. it occurred in, of all places, washington dc

Captain Ruppelt (head of Project Blue Book, the United States Air Force's official investigative body into the ufo phenomenon), who was on hand when the now historic incident took place, described the situation in his book REPORT ON UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS:

"when radars at the washington national airport and at andrews air force base, both close to the nation's capital, picked up ufos, the sightings beat the democratic national convention out of headline space. they created such a furore that I had inquiries from the office of the president of the united states and from the press in london, ottawa, and mexico city. a junior-sized riot was only narrowly averted in the lobby of the roger smith hotel in washington when i refused to tell the us newspaper reporters what I knew about the sightings.

besides being the most highly publicized ufo sightings in the air force annals, they were also the most monumentally fouled-up messes that repose in the files."

the great "washington flap" of 1952 and the tremendous wave of ufo reports that swamped the blue book office that summer was a true source of worry to the air force and to the government...

THE HYNEK UFO REPORT, hynek, 1977

in july of 1952 fourteen ufos made low-level passes on the capitol in washington dc. these images were caught on radar by the military. jets were sent up to investigate but when they did the ufos disappeared and reappeared later. thousands of calls came in from the public! you're looking at extraterrestrials arriving on earth.

several fast-moving objects appear on radarscopes at three separate installations, including andrews afb. interceptors scrambled, but don't find anything. same thing happens the next night, this time objects confirmed by ground observers. largest peace-time press conference in govt history called to explain to reporters that radar traces were caused by thermal inversions, despite absence of proper weather conditions on the nights in question.

26 - 27 july: starting at nine pm, between six and twelve ufos performed similar maneuvers (to those of 1952.07.19 - 20). at two am, interceptors from wilmington, delaware, were scrambled, but again the ufos disappeared from sight and from radar screens as soon as the jets came within radar range, and reappeared ten minutes later, when the planes were returning to base. however, at about 3.20 am, when a fresh flight of fighters came on the scene, the ufos remained visible. one pilot, lt william patterson, reported himself surrounded by a ring of enormous blue-white lights, which flew off before he was given permission to fire on them.

an investigation by the civil aviation authority's technical development and evaluation center (declared) the cause of the radar returns a temperature inversion - hot, humid air above a layer of colder, drier air. eddies formed where the two met, creating a 'lens' in the inversion that would deflect a radar signal to the ground and thence back to the antenna.

an unlikely theory

a week later, on the evening of saturday, 26 july, the radar screens went crazy again and washington was hit by a second flood of lights. yet again ruppelt, busy dealing with reports of nationwide ufo activity back at dayton, got the news secondhand from a journalist who called him to ask what the air force were doing about the 'invasion'. one can sense his anger when he reports that instead of the expected 'no comment' he told the reporter: 'i have no idea what the air force is doing. in all probability it's doing nothing.'

being the good investigator that he was, of course, ruppelt put the case ahead of his personal feelings. he alerted washington and within minutes three officers connected with blue book were on their way to the airport - a press officer, al chop; ruppelt's right-hand man, major dewey fournet; and a navy intelligence electronics expert called holcomb. they all got to the airport in time to see the majority of the radar trackings (again recorded by all the area radars that night) and the arrival of two f-94 interceptor jets who were in constant radio contact with these men.

the media had arrived at the airport as the lights in the sky were being reported publicly. ruppelt describes how they were ordered out of the operations room 'on the pretext that classified radio frequencies would be used' that night. actually this expulsion occurred because not a few people in the radar room were positive that this night would be the big night in ufo history - the night when a pilot would close in and get a good look at a ufo - ‘and they did not want the press to be in on it.'

an incredible game of cat and mouse resulted. at first there was a duplication of the previous week's farrago. as soon as the jets reached the area the ufos vanished, both visually and on radar. they turned up instead at langley, virginia, where a passing air force jet and several people on the ground saw them. when the interceptors left washington, the ufos returned there - so more f-94s were scrambled! this time they got a radar lock on one of them, but as they closed in the ufo sped off too fast to catch. finally one jet managed to get a good visual close-up of the object, so the pilot put the jet on afterburner and flew straight at the thing. as he approached it, the ufo shot away at an incredible speed. the pilot, lieutenant william patterson, later reported: 'i chased a single bright light which i estimated about ten miles away. i lost visual contact with it at about two miles.'

fournet briefed ruppelt the next day as he headed for washington to handle the expected media flak. it was clear that all of the experienced personnel working in the radar room that night were satisfied that the targets they were tracking were real. they were not radar equipment defects or the result of a temperature inversion that was causing a mirage - one theory that had been mooted as a possible solution. fournet added that these men thought the objects were 'metallic'.

two days later the biggest ever peacetime press conference was held by the usaf, but with none of the officers who had been eyewitnesses. instead, a radar expert was flown in that day. he had met no witnesses but tentatively put forward the inversion theory. it was gratefully embraced by the air force.

the blue book conclusion, thanks to ruppelt, was that these reports were unexplained. the radar experts at washington who had seen the targets insisted that inversion echoes regularly appear all summer long and look quite different from those appearing on their scopes for those two nights.

indeed, and possibly far more relevant, the us weather bureau failed to back up the vaguely proffered temperature inversion/radar mirage theory - noting that the radar experts who described the targets were reporting things unlike the behaviour commonly known in the weather trade as an 'angel'. it seems that - whatever the air force wanted the public to believe - these 'angels' were not caused by the forces of nature.

fifteen years later, the men in the radar rooms at washington dc told the same story to experts from the university of colorado funded by the us government to try to 'debunk ufos into oblivion’. the radar officers were again adamant that the july 1952 sightings in washington dc were quite inexplicable. they insisted that, whatever occurred on those mysterious nights, they are amongst the most important ufo sightings in history.

enter the cia

... the aftermath of the washington dc wave was incisive. some people were bought off by the weather inversion theory, but not within the corridors of power. the cia, for example, were sufficiently perturbed to get involved in the matter.

their concern stemmed less from what ufos might be and more from what they might do to the harassed intelligence network. after the washington debacle an air force general had pointed out that normal communications channels were clogged by the flood of incoming ufo data. this was the era of the mccarthy witch-hunts against communist sympathisers, and the height of the cold war: the cia perceived a real danger to its operations. a ufo wave would provide excellent cover for any enemy invasion, which made ufos a big threat.

A UFO is an Unidentified Flying Object.

Since man first started looking up into the skies he saw things he couldn't explain. For the last fifty years or so these things have taken on the label "UFOs." Originally an abbreviation for the Air Force term "Unidentified Flying Object", it has become a synonym to most people for "Alien Spaceship." For the Air Force, though, it is simply a term to refer to something in the skies that the observer can see but not recognize. It is "Something seen in the sky (or on the land, or exceptionally in the water, but thought capable of flight) which the witness could not identify and thought sufficiently strange to report to either an official or unofficial investigating body".

A UFO is the stimulus for a UFO report made by a UFO witness. UFO researchers (often called UFOlogists) study UFO reports and witnesses. UFO researchers cannot directly study UFOs. There are some reports in the literature of different governments recovering craft thought to cause UFO reports, but most of these reports are speculative. The study of UFO reports is referred to as UFOlogy. This implies a scientific basis to the study, when in practice very little scientific research is carried out. After careful investigation about 90% of all UFO reports can be reasonably explained as either natural phenomena or misidentification of normal manmade devices. Sometimes the term IFO is used for these Identified Flying Objects. Those cases which are identified as natural phenomena are often rare or short lived and are worthy of study in their own right.

In the early days of investigation used interchangeably with the term 'Flying Saucer'. More recently the term Flying Saucer has fallen into disuse, although some researchers use it as a term to specifically refer to an extraterrestrial spacecraft.

Mount Rainier (June 24, 1947)

The modern history of UFOs, though, perhaps begins in 1947 with an Idaho businessman and pilot named Kenneth Arnold. While flying near Mount Rainier, Washington, Arnold spotted a formation of nine silvery crescent-shaped objects flying in tight formation. Later, he estimates their size at 40 to 50 feet wide, their speed at a fantastic 1200 miles per hour, more than twice as fast as any known aircraft of that day. He described the disc's movements to a reporter as "like pie plates skipping over the water." In his story the next day the reporter coined the term "flying saucers" and the label stuck.

After Arnold's initial report, UFO sightings in our skies exploded. On June 26, four witnesses including a doctor saw a "huge silver globe" moving along the rim of the Grand Canyon; two days after that, an Air Force pilot reported a flight of six discs over Lake Meade, NV. Within days, reports were pouring in from localities as widely separated as Michigan, Ohio, Oregon, Louisiana, Quebec and Prince Edward Island in far-north Canada.

Then came the extraordinary Saucer Summer of 1952, when for months, it seemed, you could scarcely leave your house without getting your hat knocked off by a gleaming messenger from beyond. UFO sightings piled up for months, with an impressive number of reports from airline and military pilots. The flap reached its peak in the Washington, DC area in July; an Air Force report declassified in 1985 describes radar sightings involving up to 12 unidentified "targets" at a time near Washington National Airport. At its largest peacetime press conference in history, the Air Force attributed the radar activity to "temperature inversions." Local meteorologists said: no way.

Suffolk (August 13, 1956)

A flight of objects buzzed the joint RAF/USAF base at Bentwaters in Suffolk, England and was tracked by three different ground-based radar stations at speeds of up to 4,000 mph.

Lapeer (December 9, 1965)

A fireball was witnessed traveling south from Canada, over eastern Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. According to researcher Stan Gordon and several dozen citizens of Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, a ten-foot tall “acorn-shaped” object with “strange hieroglyphic-like symbols” crashed into a wooded ravine outside of Kecksburg late in the afternoon of December 9th, 1965.

Official military records show that the 662nd Radar Squadron, based at the Oakdale Armory near the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport and under the direction of the Aerospace Defense Command, was sent to Kecksburg on that same evening, just following the object’s impact.

If this object were a Soviet satellite, as researcher and author Kevin Randle (“History Of UFO Crashes”) believes, we were required by signed international treaty to return it. The Soviets have never requested, at least publicly or through the United Nations that this object be returned to them.

Before the mystery object landed in Pennsylvania, it allegedly set several fires in the Lapeer area as well as in Ohio as it passed above. A sonic boom was also registered from the object near Detroit.

The Lapeer County Sheriff’s Department received several calls that a fireball had crashed into a swampy area south of the city limits. These calls came in during the deluge of reports of a bright object hurtling south across the sky. Lapeer County Deputy Lenny Tolly found “about a peck” of foil in two piles ten feet apart. The strips were 1/16 inch wide and 3/4 of an inch long. Tolly said that there was foil scattered all over the swamp. He said, “It looked like it may have come from the deal (the fireball)”. Another Lapeer Deputy, flying in a plane at the time of the fireball sighting, said he could see several fires breaking out in the swamp as he passed over. The Lapeer Sheriff’s Department sent foil samples to the Air Force and Project Blue Book (their much maligned UFO study) who later determined that it was aircraft chaff, foil strips sent out of airplanes to confuse radar.

Nothing was ever found to have crashed in the swampy area south of Lapeer.

Bad Axe (March 27, 1966)

Peter Torres of the Bad Axe Police Department, Larry Rigvelski of the Huron County Sheriff’s Department and Frank Best of the Michigan State Police all observed a bright blue UFO at 5:24 am EST on Sunday March 27, 1966 southeast of Bad Axe. Several calls about the UFO were received before the three officers made their sighting.

Sanilac County (April 22, 1966)

Sanilac County residents reported several unidentified flying objects and police officers were eyewitnesses to them early in the morning of April 22, 1966.

A Michigan State Police Trooper from Sandusky watched “a brilliant ball of light” in the pre-dawn sky today for more than an hour. The Trooper, Alex Fisher, described the object as having a green finger of light pointing towards its top and a red shaft toward the bottom. It hovered “at airplane altitude”, he said, and gradually disappeared over Lake Huron to the east.

Oscoda/Saginaw Bay (October 30, 1975)

Over a two-week period in late 1975, NORAD bases along the US/Canadian border were having UFO encounters that were seriously infringing upon our National Security.

“The UFO Cover-Up” by Barry Greenwood and Lawrence Fawcett (1984) details NORAD base incursions by UFOs through official military documents gleaned through the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA). These unidentified craft were seriously infringing upon our national security by hovering above nuclear weapons storage facilities and in one case, deactivating the guidance systems of several ICBMs pointed at the former Soviet Union. On October 30, 1975 at Wurtsmith AFB in Oscoda, a soldier reported a 30-foot-wide disc hovering over the weapons storage facility. The disc was pursued by a tanker plane over Saginaw Bay but soon disappeared. As the plane returned to the base, radar showed the disc following it until the object sped off at about 1,000 knots.

Kingston (Spring 1992)

WDIV channel 4, Detroit (NBC) aired a “Michigan Unsolved Mysteries” segment about recent UFO sightings in the Kingston area involving triangular craft, large orange hovering lights that shook homes near Plain Road & M-46 and sightings of several distant orange lights in the northern skies.

Marlette ufologist Bob Snow, formerly of Michigan MUFON, having heard several reports from all over the thumb concerning the distant orange lights to the north came up with an explanation for the aerial phenomena.

Snow surmised that what were being witnessed to the north were not alien spacecraft but actually high-altitude flare drops from Selfridge jets performing training maneuvers above Saginaw Bay. Several area witnesses have agreed with Snow while some believe that what they observed were altogether different.

“Somebody told me that they were jet aircraft on maneuvers dropping flares,» said Port Austin resident ‘William’. “There were quite a few of us on the docks one night watching these weird orange lights. They were doing maneuvers, disappearing and reappearing. I’ve seen hundreds of jets flying around here coming and going from Oscoda and dropping flares above the Bay, but I have never seen them making perfect 90 degree turns without any slippage!” Caro’s Undersheriff, Jim Fyfie, was baffled by the other much stranger reports from 1992. He checked with the Air Force, local airports and the FAA and could not account for a majority of the odd sightings. “So we just chalk them up as Unidentified Flying Objects,» he told Mike Wendlind of Channel 4’s Night Beat.

Caro and Cass City (throughout 1993)

Triangular craft, often with bright lights at each corner, were witnessed and reported to then-Michigan MUFON State Director, Shirley Coyne. Videotape was allegedly shot of one of these triangular craft.

Paris (January 1994)

In the skies above Paris, an airborne crew saw a “gigantic disk” more than 3,000 feet in diameter. The disk was detected on military radar for 50 seconds, slowed abruptly from 100 knots to zero, and then disappeared.

Cass City (October 15 & 16, 1996)

The October 23, 1996 edition of The Cass City Chronicle ran a front-page story on two separate UFO sightings made on consecutive nights and witnessed by at least nine people.

On October 15th, a man returning from work at 4:30 a.m. spots a strange object in the eastern sky of the Ellington area (west of Cass City on M-81). He calls his sister, Sandy K., to meet him outdoors with her video camera. They claim to have recorded a dome shaped object...that looked like a brain, with lights that would alternately dim and brighten”. The Chronicle reporter who covered the story did not view the videotape and Sandy K., a Cass City hair stylist, has not responded to several requests to have her video analyzed by optical physicists. Tuscola County 911 Dispatch logged no UFO reports that evening. The following evening, at least 7 workers at Anrod Screen and Cylinder, witnessed strange orangish-red lights “playing leap frog”, disappearing, reappearing and “jumping over each other” in the northern skies around 8 p.m. on October 16th. (sources-Cass City Chronicle 10/23/96 edition, Tuscola County 911 Dispatch and author’s personal file)-Flint Bishop Airport-FAA Tower (February 19, March 17 & 23, 1995) - On February 19th several air traffic controllers viewed a strange object both visually and on radar. It did not transmit a transponder signal in response to the radar beam but it did reflect the signal. On March 17th five air traffic controllers witnessed four bright red, pulsating objects hovering in the night sky, the nearest was located within four miles of their tower, and initially at an altitude of 4000 feet. The controller reported that it looked somewhat like a “red road flare”, although it pulsated at regular intervals. At each pulsation, when the radiated light subsided somewhat, some sort of object appeared to be marginally visible in the “cloud” of red light, and it was a different shape after each pulse! The controller reported that one member of the group flashed the tower’s light “gun” at the nearest of the four objects, at which point it instantly returned to the shape and size of a small “fireball”, and began darting and zigzagging in the evening sky!! None of the objects appeared on the radar screen in the tower. 911 lines in the Flint area also reported UFO calls on March 17th. On March 23 NUFORC received a third report from the Flint FAA Tower reporting a sighting beginning at 10:25 PM. During this sighting the tower supervisors were allegedly witness to the object. The FAA has been sent a Freedom Of Information Act request for all available records concerning the above incidents and a case number has been assigned to them.

Saginaw (February 27, 1996)

Cleveland FAA Air Traffic Control was in contact with multiple aircraft over eastern Michigan that reported unusual “aerial stimulus”. The pilot of a commuter airliner reported a pulsing ball of light ahead of his aircraft near Saginaw and had to descend several thousand feet to avoid the object.

Acquired through the Freedom Of Information Act an audiotape of the conversations between Cleveland FAA and the aircraft contain one pilot describing the object as “a Frisbee type thing” with a “rotating light going around it”.

Flint (November 27, 1997)

On Thanksgiving Day morning at 6:30 AM, a County Deputy Sheriff with 19 years experience, spied something strange low in the sky above US-23 five miles south of Flint. “I thought it was a plane and kept driving towards it” he told Michigan MUFON investigator Frank Bertrand “but it never moved. I am familiar with air traffic near Bishop (Airport) and if this were a plane, it was in trouble and going the wrong way!» The object, as he approached it, was only a few hundred feet above the road and consisted of three bright lights, two white and one red, 40 feet apart. The Deputy Sheriff continued to close in on these lights that were still not moving until he drove directly beneath them. “There was no sound and as I looked in my rearview mirror it was still sitting there but this time I saw a row of seven rectangular lights or windows...very bright. It never moved as long as I watched it in my mirrors.”

MUFON investigator Bertrand notes that this same area of US-23 was very active with UFO sightings in March 1994. The Federal Aviation Administration has been sent a Freedom Of Information Act request to find if the Flint FAA tower had tracked or sighted any unusual activity that morning. A case number has been assigned to the request and an official reply is pending.

Birch Run (December 2, 1997)

Two separate reports concerning disc-shaped craft with many green and red lights, virtually silent and gliding at treetop level, came to Davenport’s attention from Birch Run (between Flint and Saginaw on I-75). The two reports listed similar objects being sighted at approximately the same time of night and on the same date.

Peck and Marlette (December 2, 1997)

While Birch Run was having their own close encounters the skies above southern Sanilac County were also filled with strange lights. A 53-year-old Marlette man witnessed a massive bank of several bright white lights “like giant stadium lights” sitting motionless above, or just beyond Peck to the northwest, before they simply “vanished”. They were similar in appearance to the object that the County Deputy sighted only a few days before. Meanwhile, a 31-year-old Marlette man was driving north on M-53 near Peck Road when he spotted a bright golden fireball with long flaming tail plummet straight down out of the sky. “It disappeared just before it reached the ground...it had to have been a meteor or piece of Mir or something”.

Brown City (December 13, 1997)

A helicopter explanation was given to a Sanilac County Sheriff’s dispatcher by Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Mt. Clemens, MI concerning unusual lights sighted by at least five people, two of them police officers, above Brown City. At 10:04 PM the Sanilac Sheriff’s Department received a phone call from a Brown City area resident who claimed that her family had been observing a formation of red, blue and white lights over a long period of time and through binoculars. The Sheriff Dispatcher sent a police unit to the caller’s residence, arriving at 10:12 PM. The unit advised the dispatcher that “there is definitely something in the sky...it moved across the sky and was hovering.” The dispatcher then made contact with an unidentified dispatcher at Selfridge Air Base and was advised “that it was probably a helicopter...and there was nothing much that could be done from this end”. One of the two police officers, which requested not to be identified, confirmed that he did witness the strange lights in the sky but was hesitant in identifying them as a helicopter or as twinkling stars or planets. Knowing that the Brown City area sits underneath Selfridge’s low altitude area of operations, he thought that this object might have been military in origin, i.e. exotic aircraft being tested over southern Sanilac County.

Selfridge’s Public Affairs Chief, Alice Errington, stated that all of their aircraft were on the ground by 7:30 PM that night and that the Control Tower or Base Operations Dispatchers had not recorded any UFO calls from the Sanilac Sheriff’s dispatcher into their logs that evening. A Freedom Of Information request has been filed with Selfridge ANGB’s Control Tower for radar returns information and a response is pending.

Marlette (December 15, 1997)

At 11:30 PM, a 52-year-old Marlette area woman was turning out her Christmas lights when she spotted a brilliant golden light low in the eastern sky. “It looked like a landing light on an airplane...with two blinking stars, one on each side of it. I knew, though, that it wasn’t an airplane”. As the strange light approached her home she decided to open her sliding glass doors to get a better look at it.

“I was afraid...so I just stood in the open door thinking I could shut it if I needed to” she reported to Michigan MUFON investigator Frank Bertrand. “The light was quite large...too large to be an airplane”.

She stepped a few feet onto her patio, looked up to see that the object was comprised of “two large lights, one lemon yellow and the other a brilliant red, each larger than the full moon, perfectly round and seemingly lit from within. “There were also two small lights on the craft’s sides. Green on the craft’s left and white on it’s right. They were much smaller and brighter than an airplane’s wingtip lights and blinked in unison”.

As the lights were directly overhead the woman performed a very clear and sober observation. She measured the lights between the fingers of her outstretched arm. “Three inches from front of the yellow circle to the back of the red” she told MUFON investigators. “Huge...and completely silent! Iistened for a sound but couldn’t hear any.” The lights then disappeared over the roof of her home. As in other cases, Selfridge was sent a Freedom Of Information Act request concerning military traffic above Marlette that evening, radar data and aircraft transponder replies (the aircraft’s electronic ID that is automatically returned to the detecting radar facility). A reply from Selfridge is still pending.

The main classification of UFO reports in use is based upon one used by

Dr J. Allen Hynek in his book "The UFO Experience" (Aberlard-Schuman 1972) It should be noted that many other classification systems have been devised by other researchers. Briefly the Hynek system (with the most commonly used extensions) is :

NL (nocturnal light)

A simple visual sighting of a unidentified flying light seen at night.

This group contains 35 to 40 percent of all UFO reports.

ND (nocturnal disc)

A simple visual sighting of a unidentified flying extended or structured light source seen at night. (This is an extension to Hynek's system).

DD (daylight disc)

A simple visual sighting of a UFO with distinct shape seen during the day.

Radar Cases

UFOs detected by radar alone. In more recent years fewer cases involving radar have hit the press. This could be because of a number of factors,for example the government is better at suppressing these reports, or therehas been a change in the nature of the phenomenon which makes it lessdetectable or that many of the early reports were the result of spurious events and false positives which are handled better by more modern equipment.

Radar Visual Cases

UFOs observed visually whilst being simultaneously on radar. From Hynek's study these make up 1 to 2% of reports.

Close Encounters of the first kind (CE1, CEI)

As first defined by Hynek, a CE1 is an observation of a UFO within 150 yards.

Close Encounters of the second kind (CE2, CEII)

A UFO which leaves some form of physical evidence

Example: A burn where the UFO appeared to touch the ground or the finding of material of unknown makeup.

Close Encounters of the third kind (CE3, CEIII)

A visual sighting of an occupant or entity associated with a UFO. An analysis by Hynek of 650 reports found only 1% to be CE3. These entities are sometimes called UFOnauts.

As well as entities seen inside a craft, entities have been described as sampling soil, rocks and plants or might communicate with the witness.

These witnesses are sometimes referred to as contactees. As well as communication, the witness may report that they were invited on board a craft or even taken for a trip.

Although included with UFOs, when dealing with contactees the researcher is dealing with a case of something clearly identified by the witness as some form of craft (without specifying the origin of that craft). Strictly speaking the object is no longer unidentified.

(Close Encounters beyond the third kind are extensions to the basic Hynek system. Different authors have used the same designation to mean different things.)

Close Encounters of the fourth kind (CE4, CEIV)

An abduction of an individual by an alien being or race. The most famous of these being the abduction of Betty and Barney Hill in September 1961. (Hynek included this case in his CE3 category.) Although in recent years abductions have, because of their spectacular nature, received a great deal of publicity, they constitute only a small proportion of all UFO reports.

Close Encounters of the fifth kind (CE5, CEV)

Sometimes used to represent a direct contact or communication with alien being or race. For example: Billie Meier with the Pleiadians, U.S.Govt. with the Greys, or channeling.

Other researchers have used this classification for strange beings that have been reported, but without the obvious presence of a 'craft'. These beings are generally seen in the witnesses house at night. Their description is similar to the beings seen associated with UFOs in abduction and contactee cases. Sometimes they are called 'bedroom visitors', the same set of reports have been classified as CE0 (zero) and CE9 by other groups of researchers.

It must be remembered that, after careful investigation, over 90% of UFO reports can be reasonably explained as manmade or natural phenomena. The late Charles H. Gibbs-Smith (aviation historian to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London) had something he called Gibbs-Smith's rule which is worth keeping in mind when studying UFO reports. It states that "the strangeness of a case increases in proportion to the distance, in either time or geographical distance, between the investigator and the location of the report."

Aliens come in all shapes and sizes, from the little green men of Kelly, Kentucky to the 10 foot tall giants of Voronezh, Russia. There has always been discussion about the close encounters of the third kind aliens. Some of these seem to be living, breathing beings, and yet some appear to have characteristics of a robot. It is up to the reader to come to their own conclusions concerning the plausibility of the existence of the specific 'alien' groups mentioned in the paragraphs below, based on their own review of the evidence and documentation contained in the accompanying files.

In these suspicious times hardly anyone trusts their government anymore, so it is not surprising that such ideas flourish, particularly in America where many civilian militia groups have worked UFO conspiracies into their anti government belief systems. Bill Cooper, a shadowy figure who claims to have worked for U.S. Navy Intelligence and regularly used to speak at UFO conventions, runs an Arizona militia group. Many viewers still believe that the X Files stories are based on real cases, thus securing the conspiracy's hold on the popular imagination for a few more years and keeping UFOs in the public eye.

Men in Black

Aka : MIB; Horlocks; sartorial agents of silence

Always traveling in twos and threes, driving dark limousine cars and wearing sunglasses and impeccable dark suits. Extremely sensitive to light, vaguely "foreign" in appearance, they keep their mouth closed except when issuing cryptic warnings and threats to UFO witnesses. Their faces are white, hairless, plastic-like and might be masks hidding their real nature. John Keel, a paranormalist, pretends he had dealings with them and he thought they weren't even human.

Because of their secret agent look and how they are uncannily well informed, UFOlogists claim that they work for the government, although US intelligence agencies have denied all knowledge of them. They might be bio-synthetic forms or even holographic images working for aliens invaders.

They seem to have telepathic powers and have also been reported to mysteriously disappear when their cars are chased.

Men in Black are responsible for silencing witnesses to UFOs and ensuring that UFO events are kept hidden from the public. Men in Black supposedly use all forms of persuasion from phone calls and surprise visits to the threat of deadly force if necessary. They usually confiscate any "evidence" that the "contacted might have collected.

The very first occurrence of MIB was traced to a man named Albert K. Bender. He was the editor of a flying saucer publication called the "Space Review" In the October 1953 issue he placed an announcement stating that he had come across information that would solve the flying saucer mystery but they could not print it because they were ordered not to.

They then ended the announcement warning others in saucer work to be "very cautious" they then stopped their publications. Later in an interview Bender stated that "three men wearing dark suits" had ordered him to stop publishing flying saucer material, and that he had complied with the order because he had been "scared to death" of them.

He later published a book called "Flying Saucers and the Three Men in Black" in which he explained The Men In Black in more detail: they were, he claimed, from somewhere called Kazik; he had visited their spaceship in Antartica; they had told him that their agents had infiltrated the Pentagon.

According to conspiracy theories, the Illuminati or 'Cult of the Serpent', is a secret organization that cooperates with aliens to establish the 'New World Order' . Quest, the JASON Society, the Roshaniya, the Qabbalah, the Knights Templar, the Knights of Malta, the Knights of Columbus, the Jesuits, the Masons, the Ancient and Mystical Order of Rosae Crucis, the Thule Society, the Nazi Party, the Brotherhood of the Dragon, the Rosicrucians, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderberg Group, the Open Friendly Secret Society (the Vatican), the Russell Trust, the Skull & Bones, the Scroll & Key were or are allegedly all connected together.

The JASON Society, or JASON Scholars, takes its name from the story of Jason and the Golden Fleece, and it is a branch of the Order of the Quest, one of the highest degrees in the Illuminati. The golden fleece takes on the role of truth to JASON members. Jason represents the search for the truth. Therefore the name JASON Society denotes a group of men who are engaged in a search for the truth. The name Jason is spelled with capital letters when used as the name of the JASON Society. Lower-case letters are never used when referring to this secret group. The name may even have a deeper meaning, as the name "Jason" and the Golden Fleece appear throughout history in relation to various other secret societies. In these instances the story represents man (Jason) looking for himself (Golden Fleece).

Only members of the Order are initiated into the Order of the Quest, the JASON Society that makes up the executive members of the Council on Foreign

Relations and, in fact, the Trilateral Commission as well. George Bush would be a member of the Order. His support to the war in Afghanistan was aimed to re-established the opium plantations (banned by the Talibans) that makes up 80% of the heroin production and funding of the Order.

The JASON Group is a scientific organization formed and hired by the JASON Society and the U.S. Government Founders of the JASON Group include members of the famous Manhattan Project, which brought together almost every leading physicist in the nation to build the atomic bomb during World War II. The group is made up mostly of theoretical physicists and is the most elite gathering of scientific minds in the United States. As of 1987 the membership included four Nobel Prize winners. Today JASON continues to offer scientific help the government cannot find anywhere else. They are probably the only group of scientists in the United States that know the true state of highest technology.

The Council on Foreign Relations is a private organization of business executives, scholars, and political leaders that studies global problems and play a key role in developing U.S. foreign policy. The CFR is one of the most powerful semi-offlcial groups concerned with America's role in international affairs. It is controlled by an elect group of men recruited from the Skull & Bones and the Scroll & Key societies of Harvard and Yale, which are both chapters of a secret branch of the Illuminati known as Chapter 322 of the Order. The members of the Order make up the Executive Committee of the Council on Foreign Relations after undergoing initiation into the Order of the Quest, also known as the JASON Society.

The Council on Foreign Relations is an off-shoot sister organization to the British Royal Institute of International Affairs. Their goal is a New World Order. Although it existed as a dinner dub in New York, it did not take on its present power until 1921, when it merged with the Royal Institute of International Affairs and received its financial base from J.P. Morgan, the Carnegie Endowment, the Rockefeller family, and other Wall Street banking interests.

The Knights of Malta is a world organization with its threads weaving through business, banking, politics, the CIA, other intelligence organizations, P2, religion, education, law, military, think tanks, foundations, the United States Information Agency, the United Nations, and numerous other organizations. They are not the oldest but are one of the oldest branches of the Order of the Quest in existence. The world head of the Knights of Malta is elected for a life term, with the approval of the Pope. The Knights of Malta have their own Constitution and are sworn to work toward the establishment of a New World Order with the Pope at its head. Knights of Malta members are also powerful members of the CFR and the Trilateral Commission.

The heart of the Bilderberg Group consists of 39 total members of the Illuminati. The three committees are made up exclusively of members of all the different secret groups that make up the Illuminati, the Freemasons, the Vatican, and the Black Nobility. This committee works year round in offices in Switzerland. It determines who is invited to the annual meeting and what policies and plans will be discussed. Every proposal or plan that has ever been discussed at an annual meeting of the Bilderberg Group has come to pass usually within one or two years following the meeting.

Behrendt writes for this in its essay "Anti-mass generator for UFO drive" the following: "computations show that the UFO would have to go in ten seconds on a height of approximately 35 km (!), so that it would together-shrink to a so small point that it could not seize the human eye any longer. If the acceleration of the missile were constant, then its crew would have felt the crushing strength of 68,38 g´s, produced by acceleration and at the end of their ten seconds ascent would have reached it a speed of over 10.000 mph. If the UFO had a dead weight of ten tons, then its engines would have had to produce a thrust of approximately 620.000 kg. Its engines would have had to deliver an output of 27.36 million HP or 20.000 megawatts achievement. This achievement would be equivalent to 2.500 jet engines by Pratt & Whitney with 11.000 HP each, those for the drive of the B-52 of long-range bomber of the USA to be used

Antimater

The production such enormous energies within a small spaceship are almost

inconceivable for us. A possibility would be actually the use of antimatter, by means of those one anti-gravitational fields also during a longer period away and with different intensity work to let could. Scientists succeeded in producing antimatter in laboratories artificially but in extremely small quantities with extremely high expenditure. Aerodynamic problems are solved perhaps by the fact that UFO`s ionize and by magnetic fields from itself keep them away surrounding air.

Pulsed Detonation

One is nick named the "Pulser" aircraft. There have been many sights of this aircraft by several different witnesses. When sighted it has repetitively been described as "A high-speed aircraft characterized by a very loud, deep, rumbling engine noise (1-2 Hz pulse rate) reminiscent of heavy-lift rockets." The smoke trail of the aircraft is described as being segmented and in a linked sausage shape. (Or another good example would be to look at one side of your coat zipper, un-zipped, with the teeth facing you) It is also described as a high-altitude aircraft that crossed the sky at extremely high speeds. Both ground based and airborne observers have reported it to be seen flying at altitudes above 50,000 ft. observers have reported see the aircraft as a single bright light that seldom changed direction, however speed changes where observed. One observer estimated that it covered 350 miles in 6 minutes. (3500 miles/hr)

This this aircraft may indeed exist. There has been research in to what are called Pulsed Detonation Engines (PED's) also refereed to as Pulsed Detonation Wave Engines. These are different type of engine than the pulse jet engines, which is already publicly know, and has been tested in aircraft. The PED's are said to be in laboratory and computer analysis level of development (reported oct of 91) The PED's exhaust emission produces smoke trails that closely match the pulser aircraft. Simulations of theses engines are said to be able to propel large aircraft in the "Mach 0.2-3.0 flight regime"

How PED's work: PED's use shock waves created in a detonation to compress the fuel-oxidizer mixture prior to combustion. A cylinder chamber designed to support the detonation is constructed with a flat forward end which makes up the thrust wall. Air along with fuel is fed into the engine from behind the thrust-wall. The detonation wave created travels forward to the thrust wall at about Mach 4 and compresses the fuel-air mixture, promotes supersonic combustion and causes a pressure rise in the engine. The wave then strikes the thrust wall and rebounds accelerating the combustion products towards the nozzle. Some of the products are ejected by the wave to the outside air-stream through the air inlet openings creating a toroidal vortex out side the engine. Then the cycle repeats.

The said advantages of this type of engine are:

* Theoretically a higher fuel efficiency than a "constant pressure engine"

* Engines can be produced in many sizes and thrust outputs from a few inches in diameter at a thrust of several pounds to larger one that can output in the thousands of pounds range.

* They have high thrust to weight ratio (ie.lighter engine, more thrust)

* They are mechanically simple, and have few moving parts.

* They could operate in or out of the atmosphere using fuel oxidizers.

Hyperjump

Theoretically it is possible to curve by high gravitation the area that starting point and the endpoint move each other closer to the area are so far distorted that they - for the generator operator - lie directly together, as a metal spring for example, whose ends we press together. One

needs "to slide" now no longer pedantically over the whole metal, but make only a step over the together lying ends.
